Casa Dragones has opened up their own design-forward tequila bar in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico
Small batch tequila producer Casa Dragones has opened up their own design-forward tequila bar in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, a charming colonial town that's also designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The six seat space is located in an enclave of hip shops, restaurants, and boutiques, and will host bartenders from around the globe (Jim Meehan of PDT, Dave Arnold of the now-shuttered Booker & Dax) for pop-ups in the months to come. For a touch of terroir, the tasting room, designed by Meyer Davis, is decked in 4,000 tiles made of obsidian collected from Casa Dragones's proprietary agave fields in the Trans-Mexican Volcanic Belt in Tequila, Jalisco.
