Aiming to revive the joven Tequila category, MHW Ltd. launched Casa Dragones last year and added several new markets this spring. Designed for sipping, the 40-percent abv Tequila ($275 a 750-ml. bottle) is made with 100-percent blue agave in the joven style, which means a small amount of extra anejo Tequila that has been aged for more than five years is added to a blanco Tequila base. The resulting spirit has subtle floral and citrus aromas, with hints of vanilla and spiced undertones balanced by notes of pear.
