Being modern in Mexico today means rethinking tradition. The exhibit “Rethinking Tradition: Contemporary Design from Mexico,” which opened last night at the Mexican Cultural Institute in Washington, DC, celebrates this concept and chose Casa Dragones as the only tequila served because of our independent spirit. Curated by Ana Elena Mallet and hosted by Arturo Sarukhan, Ambassador of Mexico, the evening featured works by 31 of the most talented and innovative designers in Mexico today. Inspired cuisine provided by chef Enrique Olvera of Pujol in Mexico City.
