Casa Dragones partnered with Services for the UnderServed (SUS) for an Evening of Opportunity, bringing together leaders from New York’s business and philanthropic communities at one of New York’s most historically significant and beautiful locales, the Weylin B. Seymour Building in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Surrounded by works by Spanish artist Juan Miguel Palacios in the inaugural exhibit of the Guggenheim Museum Young Collectors Council exhibition space, Casa Dragones Blanco debuted a new winter cocktail, the “Manzana Confitada” crafted by leading mixologist Jim Meehan of PDT, New York. Services for the Underserved is committed to finding solutions to transform the lives of people with disabilities, people in poverty and people facing homelessness: solutions that contribute to righting societal imbalances.
Tequila Casa Dragones was honored to be part of the annualKeep a Child Alive Black Ball in New York City, hosted by Alicia Keys, with Chris Rock as Master of Ceremonies, and performances by Alicia Keys, Lenny Kravitz, Lion Babe, Wale, and WizKid. During the evening of music and philanthropy, guests enjoyed “The Blackout,” a signature cocktail crafted with simple syrup, fresh lemon juice, grapefruit soda, and Tequila Casa Dragones Blanco. Keep A Child Alive’s mission is to realize the end of AIDS for children and their families, by combating the physical, social and economic impacts of HIV.
Tequila Casa Dragones joined the 4th annual Great Create, benefitting Dallas’ Nasher Sculpture Center at the home of Sheryl and Eric Maas. The Great Create is a fundraiser that engages families’ artistic sides while raising essential support for the Nasher’s diverse and creative annual educational initiatives. Guests included Sheryl and Eric Maas, Lisa and John Runyon, Allyson and Stuart Greenfield, and Megan and Brady Wood.
Mexico City’s exciting Formula 1® championship was led by reigning champions Mercedes, with Nico Rosberg taking the victory, followed by Grand Prix champion Lewis Hamilton. Mexican driver Sergio Perez (Checo) of Force India team came in 8th place, and became the first Mexican driver to score points on home soil since 1970. It was an exciting race, and Tequila Casa Dragones was thrilled to join Interproteccion in welcoming the drivers to Mexico City, and to be a part of this exciting international event.
Tequila Casa Dragones celebrated one of Mexico’s most remarkable holidays, Día de Muertos, in our hometown of San Miguel de Allende this past weekend. Some of the festivities included the La Calaca Festival, a four-day event filled with art, workshops, conferences, parades, and more to honor this holiday. La Casa Dragones was adorned with marigolds and a traditional altar was built to honor those that have departed for an exclusive tasting, featuring Casa Dragones Blanco on the rocks and Casa Dragones Joven Sipping Tequila.
LAND (Los Angeles Nomadic Division), the visionary organization committed to curating site-specific public art exhibitions, recently hosted its 6th annual art auction and benefit All Souls Eve. Held at the fabulous Ebell of Los Angeles, the night included a decadent dinner, auctions, dancing, and live performances. Guests from the high-profile worlds of fashion, art, technology, and entertainment, including Director and curator of Los Angeles Nomadic Division, Shamim M. Momin, actress Ellen Page, chef Craig Thornton, artist Yung Jake, gallery owner, Shulamit Nazarian, and jewelry designer, Marcy Miller. The event commenced with an elegant toast with Casa Dragones Joven Tequila, followed by a live auction that included a weekend stay at historic La Casa Dragones, our home in San Miguel de Allende, and a special edition Gabriel Orozco bottle.
Dedicated to promoting regional cuisine and fostering the innovative gastronomic community, Paralelo Norte recently celebrated its second edition in Monterrey. Considered the Mesamérica of the northern part of Mexico and connected to Colectivo Mexicano de Cocina, gourmet and culinary events saw press and personalities from the Mexican “foodie” scene join forces and share ideas with lauded Mexican chefs and professionals, such as Jorge Vallejo, Edgar Nuñez, Joan Roca, Josefina Santa Cruz, Adan Paredes, and Pablo Salas. As the chosen tequila for the festivities, Casa Dragones Joven was specially paired with the first dinner course served at renowned new restaurant Koli.
