In case you're not familiar, the Mexican holiday falls just after Halloween and is a celebration of loved ones who have passed away. Rather than being a sad, maudlin occasion, though, the holiday is a colorful celebration of life and death. And what better to celebrate than with delicious food and drinks in hand.
Napa Valley's Tequila Train will have two upcoming trains: The Spirit Train, a one-night party taking place on Saturday, October 27, ahead of Día De Los Muertos; and the Napa Valley's third rendition of the Tequila Train. The one-night-only celebration will be held on Thursday, November 1, and it starts off with a welcome Tequila Casa Dragones signature cocktail. The three-hour journey follows a scenic trail as a four-course meal is served. In honor of the holiday, authentic Mexican dishes like Tamal de Camote and Ribeye con Chichilo will be served. Guests can take a celebratory shot of tequila at the Day of the Dead altar that's on board and sip on cocktails while a live DJ performs.
