Margarita Albahaca at Restaurante Cascabel
The bartender team at Restaurante Cascabel in Mexico City joins forces to create a classic Mexican cocktail with an orange twist.
The Margarita Albahaca combines the traditional ingredients of a margarita with Cointreau for an added orange zest that marries with the citrus notes of Casa Dragones Blanco, for an herbaceous, crisp taste that takes the classic margarita to the next level.
2¾ oz. Tequila Casa Dragones Blanco
1 Tbsp. sugar
¾ oz. Cointreau
1¼ oz. fresh lime juice
2 basil leaves
Muddle basil leaves with Cointreau, sugar, and lime juice. Add Casa Dragones Blanco. Shake vigorously. Double strain over an old-fashion glass with ice. Garnish with basil.
