Mixing at the Food And Wine Classic
For the fourth year in a row, Casa Dragones hosted what has become known as the premier closing party of the Aspen Food & Wine Classic. This year, the culinary industry’s finest joined together in celebration of the first batch of Casa Dragones Blanco at the Dancing Bear Rooftop and danced the night away to a spectacular set by DJ Rawdon.
Mixologist Jim Meehan of PDT and Sean Kenyon of Williams & Graham commanded the bar, crafting three signature Casa Dragones Blanco cocktails: La Sandía Picante, La Batanga Alpino, and the San Miguel. Notable guests included chefs Marcus Samuelsson (Red Rooster, Harlem), Michael Chiarello (Coqueta, SF), Scott Conant (Scarpetta), Jonathan Waxman (Barbuto, NY), Ming Tsai (host of East Meets West on the Food Network), George Mendes (Aldea, NY), Curtis Stone (Maude, LA), Paul Kahan (Blackbird, Chicago), and beverage luminaries such as mixologist Dave Arnold (Booker & Dax, NY).
As a special treat, guests also enjoyed an exceptional selection of oysters, hand-selected to be paired with Casa Dragones Joven Sipping Tequila by Chef Adam Christopher Norwig of Aspen’s Caribou Club.
