Toasting Mexican Artistry with Tequila Casa Dragones and TRUSS
Tequila Casa Dragones Blanco and TRUSS, a Mexican company specializing in handmade bags and accessories kicked off New York Fashion Week with an intimate dinner celebrating the preservation of traditional Mexican artistry. Both Casa Dragones and TRUSS share a deep appreciation for preserving traditional Mexican craftsmanship, a value that can be seen on each hand-engraved Casa Dragones Joven bottle as well in the colorful and intricate woven patterns on every TRUSS handbag or accessory.
A fashionable and influential group of guests including stylist Kate Foley, Max Osterweis of SUNO, Joey Laurenti of Sies Marjan and Madison Utendahl of Refinery29 shared cocktails by Casa Dragones Blanco before sitting down to dinner at Tijuana Picnic. Guests sipped Dragones Blanco on the rocks, or enjoyed the “Oaxacan Dragon,” a signature craft cocktail featuring hibiscus flower, lime juice and grapefruit before raising their glasses to the preservation of Mexican artistry.
Created by Gillian Tozer and Elise Durbecq, TRUSS creates their products by working with small business owners in Oaxaca, Mexico to support the growth of their community and its traditional weavers and artists.
