Omar Terriquez Offers a Sweet Take on Tequila Casa Dragones Blanco
Tequila Casa Dragones Tasting Room was pleased to host Omar Terriquez, head bartender of Dodo Café Queretaro, for a weekend-long residency in San Miguel de Allende. Terriquez joined the ranks of renowned mixologists Jim Meehan of PDT and Raul Torrecilla of Corazon de Alcachofa as the third bartender to take part in the Tequila Casa Dragones Residency Program.
Terrqiuez brought forth his tequila expertise, knowledge of agave terroir, and skills from Dodo Café in Queretaro, Mexico to create one-of-a-kind cocktails made with Tequila Casa Dragones Blanco. These signature craft cocktails included Volcan de Fuego – a cocktail inspired by the volcanic soil where agaves harvested – and Nirvana – a sweet, gingery cocktail that plays off the smooth essence of agave. The weekend made for a series of engaging and interactive sessions in which guests learned about mixology and created their own Casa Dragones Blanco cocktails.
