Chile en Nogada
One of Mexico’s leading chefs, Chef Daniel Ovadia of Morablanca serves up classic French cuisine, inspired by the Polanco area of Mexico. Chef Ovadia celebrated Mexican Independence Day (September 16th), with Casa Dragones paired with chiles en nogada prepared with duck and pecanera nuts.
A traditional Mexican dish, chiles en nogada is typically made of poblano chiles filled with picadillo (spices, duck, fruits, ground beef, and tomato sauce), and topped with a walnut-based cream sauce and pomegranate seeds – Bringing together the colors of the Mexican flag. Of Casa Dragones, Chef Ovadia says, “Casa Dragones Tequila makes a perfect pairing with Mexican food. Due to its great structure, flavor and smoothness, leaves a long finish, nice and velvety.”
