An especially seasonal concoction, this cocktail adds an extra-festive sparkle to the holidays. Its warming ginger and agave notes steeped in hot tea makes it perfect for cozying up indoors. Try a simplified version by substituting chamomile for Chrysanthemum, and skipping the gold dust.
2 oz. Tequila Casa Dragones Blanco
¾ oz. Fresh pressed ginger
1 oz. lemon juice
½ oz. Chrysanthemum tea
Honey mixed with edible gold dust
Laphroaig Lore whiskey
Garnish with a dried Chrysanthemum flower
Make the Chrysanthemum tea using just two ounces of hot water. Shake all ingredients except the whiskey in a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour into a rocks glass filled with one extra-large ice cube. Spritz with the whiskey and garnish with a dried Chrysanthemum flower.
