Mesamerica’s First Edition Event

Chefs, bartenders, and food lovers gathered in San Miguel de Allende for Mesa Abierta, the first edition event from Mesamérica, Mexico’s premier gastronomic festival. Casa Dragones kicked off the event at La Casa Dragones, with guests including Mayor Mauricio Trejo Pureco, Chefs Enrique Olvera and Benito Molina, Xavier de Bellefon and more, who danced to the sounds of Mexico’s own DJ Rulo, enjoying White Dragon cocktails crafted by Mixologist Jim Meehan of New York City’s P.D.T.

The four day festival also featured dinners by Benito Molina at Cumpanio, Jorge Vallejo at Calenda, Frank Falcinelli and Frank Castronovo at The Restaurant, Chef Pablo Salas at Hacienda de Guadalupe, Mauro Colagrego at Hotel Matilda, Rick Bayless at 1826 Restaurant, and Elena Reygadas at Patio 3. Casa Dragones Joven was paired during each dinner, with innovative pairings from Colbalto coffee to ceviche.
