This Día de Muertos, Casa Dragones returned home to San Miguel de Allende to honor one of Mexico’s most beloved traditions and to celebrate the launch of our newest tequila, 200 Copas by Casa Dragones, crafted especially for global icon Karol G.

 

The weekend began on Friday with a fireside chat at La Casa Dragones, where Bertha González Nieves, Co-Founder and CEO of Casa Dragones, and Karol G shared the story behind 200 Copas by Casa Dragones. The discussion reflected their shared vision — an authentic partnership rooted in shared values of entrepreneurship, creativity, and innovation.

 

That evening, the celebration continued with an intimate pairing dinner hosted by Bertha and Karol G in the stunning courtyard of La Casa Dragones. Chef Daniela Soto-Innes, of Rubra, created a multi-course menu inspired by tropical Mexican flavors and traditional Día de Muertos dishes, paired with Casa Dragones Joven, Reposado Mizunara, Añejo Barrel Blend, and 200 Copas by Casa Dragones. Nearing the end of dinner, as dessert was served, guests were surprised by a violinist who performed “200 Copas,” a special moment that closed the evening’s festivities.

On Saturday, the night began at Sala de Despecho, where Karol G made a surprise appearance that quickly drew in a crowd to the beautiful streets of San Miguel de Allende. Inside, she took the stage for an impromptu performance of her global hit “200 Copas,” a defining moment that perfectly captured the emotion behind our newest Cristalino: celebrating life, friendship, and the joy of shared moments over tequila.

Later that evening, the weekend’s festivities continued on with more than 200 guests gathered for our 16th annual Casa Dragones Día de los Muertos party, an unforgettable evening that brought together art, music, and tradition inside our 17th-century home. The courtyard came to life with music from Mariachi Nuevo Tecalitlán, who surprised guests with a special rendition of ‘200 Copas’ dedicated to Karol G.

 

Throughout the weekend, guests enjoyed specialty cocktails crafted by Eli Martínez of Rubra and Fabiola Padilla of Bekeb, inspired by the creamy almond, roasted agave, and plum notes of 200 Copas by Casa Dragones.
