CASA DRAGONES JOINS CITY HARVEST GALA 2026 TO SUPPORT FOOD RESCUE EFFORTS IN NEW YORK
March 2026
Casa Dragones was honored to participate in the City Harvest Gala 2026, an unforgettable evening where hospitality, culture, and philanthropy came together in support of a vital cause. Held in New York City under the theme “Shaken, Not Stirred,” the annual gala brought together leaders from the culinary world, entertainment, and business to raise awareness and critical funds to combat food insecurity.
Hosted by Emmy-nominated comedian, actor, and writer Bowen Yang, the evening celebrated the work of City Harvest—New York City’s first and largest food rescue organization—and honored restaurateur, entrepreneur, and activist Simon Kim for his leadership and ongoing commitment to the organization’s mission.
This year’s gala raised a record-breaking amount, enough to help provide more than 12 million meals to New Yorkers in need. At a time when many communities continue to face rising costs of living, initiatives like City Harvest play an essential role in ensuring access to nutritious food across the city’s five boroughs.
The evening featured immersive design by Colin Cowie and welcomed an inspiring group of guests spanning the worlds of food, art, and culture, reflecting the dynamic and collaborative spirit that defines the event. A live auction offered oncein-a-lifetime dining experiences, further supporting the organization’s efforts to rescue and redistribute high-quality food that would otherwise go to waste.
As a proud sponsor, Casa Dragones continues to support initiatives that align with its values—celebrating craftsmanship, community, and meaningful impact. Through its participation, the brand reaffirms its commitment to fostering experiences that not only inspire, but also contribute to a greater purpose.
Founded in 1982, City Harvest rescues nearly 90 million pounds of food each year, delivering it free of charge to hundreds of food pantries, soup kitchens, and community partners across New York City. Their work not only addresses urgent food needs but also contributes to environmental sustainability by reducing food waste and lowering carbon emissions.
Casa Dragones is proud to stand alongside City Harvest in its mission to build a more equitable and sustainable future—one where access to quality food is within reach for all.
