MAISON MARGIELA ARRIVES IN MEXICO WITH CASA DRAGONES AT CASA ROSA
September, 2025
On September 9, 2025, Maison Margiela celebrated its arrival in Mexico with a private dinner hosted by Matteo Lena, CEO of OTB North America, in Mexico City’s Polanco district. The gathering took place at Casa Rosa, the neo-colonial residence once belonging to actress and Parisian expat María Félix. With its iconic Rosa Mexicano façade transformed into an all-white scenography, the house evoked the intimacy of a Parisian salon.
Candlelight and wax-dripped candelabras reflected one of Margiela’s enduring codes: the passage of time.
For this special evening, acclaimed chef, and dear friend of Casa Dragones, Daniela Soto-Innes conceived a four-course menu in dialogue with Margiela’s Fall-Winter 2025 Co-Ed Collection. Her creations, inspired by local ingredients, nostalgic recipes, and gestures of memory, reflected the collection’s ode to garments cherished and worn through time. Guests sipped Casa Dragones Joven alongside the menu, adding a distinctly Mexican toast to the evening’s cultural exchange.
The dinner welcomed a remarkable guest list, including actresses Ilse Salas and Irene Azuela, artists Ana Segovia and Clotide Jiménez, architect Tatiana Bilbao, ceramicist Perla Valtierra, and other cultural figures.
Marking the launch of Maison Margiela in Mexico, the event underscored the dialogue between fashion, gastronomy, tequila and culture.
