Danh Vo Special Edition of Casa Dragones Joven
Casa Dragones get inspired by Danh Vo new exhibitions and create s special edition bottle.
"The Slip of the Tongue and mothertongue 2015 Venice Biennal exhibitions inspire a special edition of Tequila Casa Dragones.
Mexican art and culture not only fascinated the conceptual Danish-Vietnamite artista Danh Vo, now residing in Mexico City, but were the main source of inspiration for his Biennale di Venezia 2015 project.
It was unusual enough to ask an artist for the first time to curate the Slip of the Tongue exhibition, now presenting at Pinault Collection Punta Della Dogana, Venice, and then the artist, who already exposed his work in Mexico (Wad al-hayara, 2014, Museo Jumex) went for tequila as one of the main themes for his creative process and the selection of the pieces from artists like Nairy Baghramian, David Hammons, Martin Wong and Zoe Leonard, besides his own.
Knowing the company's long established love for art, Vo asked Casa Dragones to produce two special edition bottles directed by the artist and hand inscribed with calligraphic motives by his father, Phung Vo, whose beautiful calligraphy is often present in Danh's work.
For art lovers and tequila aficionados alike, these special bottles will be available at the Punta Della Dogana museum store, at the Danish Pavilion and participating galleries representing Vo's work for La Biennale di Venezia, 56th International Art Exhibition, where the artist is showcasing his mothertongue installation, a tour along different eras and cultures which also included tequila."
