Abraham Cruzvillegas’ Opening of “Empty Lot” at Tate Modern
A Grand Celebration
Casa Dragones was pleased to join Kurimanzutto, Thomas Dane Gallery, Regent Projects and Chantal Crousel Gallery to celebrate Mexican artist Abraham Cruzvillegas’ exciting opening of “Empty Lot” at the Turbine Hall at Tate Modern. Empty Lot is a massive sculpture created by two large stepped triangular platforms with scaffolding, supporting a grid of triangular wooden planters, and representing the artist ongoing interest in ancient agricultural methods of Mexico City, and temporary architecture.
Tequila Casa Dragones created special personalized bottles for the event using the phrase Lote Baldio, meaning Empty Lot in Spanish. The party was held at the Village Underground in Shoreditch, London on Monday night, featuring the astounding cuisine of Chef Elena Reygadas, paired with Tequila Casa Dragones Joven. Guests including Gabriel Orozco, Abraham Cruzvillegas, Monica Manzutto, Jose Kuri, Diego Luna, director Alfonso Cuarón, and more, were also served Casa Dragones Blanco as they celebrated through the night.
