Casa Dragones at Barra México

Over June 10 and 11, the leading trade show for premium spirits in Latin America, Barra Mexico, took Mexico City by storm with an exciting program of tastings, educational sessions, and inspiration from the industry’s top brands and professionals.

On the first day, James Beard award-winning bartender and owner of PDT (New York City) Jim Meehan was featured at the Tequila Casa Dragones booth and presented summer cocktails he’s crafted exclusively for Casa Dragones. He also gave an enlightening seminar titled “The Tunnel at the End of the Light,” which gave insight into the highs and lows of his journey to the top of the bartending world. 

For day two, we had the pleasure of presenting thirteen top bartenders from Mexico and the U.S. in our Jamming Sessions, a spirited craft cocktail showcase in which bartenders impromptu mix up Casa Dragones Blanco cocktails. A highlight of the showcase was the Dragonfly cocktail with a cucumber-ginger lemonade, by Chio Mogollon from the Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita in Nayarit, Mexico. Another stand-out refreshing cocktail was the Santa Maria by Carlos “El Amigo” Rojas from Montage Los Cabos in Cabo San Lucas. The passion-fruit-and-peach cocktail was the perfect tropical concoction to perk up Barra-goers. In the middle of the day’s Jamming Sessions programming, Tequila Casa Dragones switched gears momentarily to sip Casa Dragones Joven during an educational tasting led by sommelier and tequila expert Sandra Fernández.
