“Campos de los Dragones” at Mexico’s Botanical Gardens
As part of FYJA 2017, Tequila Casa Dragones was proud to be a part of restoring a section of the Jardín Botánico de Chapultepec in Mexico City, Mexico’s beautiful botanical gardens.
The restored area, called Los Campos de los Dragones, is a recreation of Casa Dragones’ own agave fields, featuring agaves and obsidian rock, and on view for the public.
Realized by Casa Dragones and Alberto Kalach, landscape designer and owner of architecture studio TAX, the initiative seeks to highlight Casa Dragones’ commitment to educate the public about the Blue Agave Tequilana Weber and its critical role in Mexican culture, and to be one of the tequila producers pushing the agave distillate category forward into the future.
“We want to educate people about the richness of the agave plant through the Campos de los Dragones, says Casa Dragones Co-Founder and CEO, Bertha González Nieves, commenting on the importance of the initiative.
Campos de los Dragones is open to the public visitors of the Jardín Botánico de Chapultepec in Mexico city. FYJA, The Flower and Garden Festival is a non-profit movement founded in Mexico that helps develop a better environment through gardening and green spaces.
