Chef Enrique Olvera includes Tequila Casa Dragones in Cosme’s 2nd Anniversary Dinner
An Exquisite Dinner Party
To celebrate Cosme restaurant’s second anniversary, and to honor two outstanding years in which the New York Times named Cosme the #1 “Top New York Restaurant of 2015,” chef and owner Enrique Olvera hosted an exquisite dinner party in the spherical entertaining space of the Jardim Gallery in Manhattan. The meal, which included 4 dishes included a pairing with Tequila Casa Dragones Joven, and was prepared by Olvera and the James Beard Foundation’s 2016 Rising Star Chef of the Year award-winning chef, Daniela Soto-Innes.
The Bold Menu
The evening kicked off with signature craft cocktails by Casa Dragones Blanco including the fizzy “Berrinche” cocktail which implores champagne as the final ingredient and whose clever name translates to “tantrum” in English. The night’s celebratory meal, a culinary masterpiece created by both award winning chefs consisting of three courses, several of which were paired with Tequila Casa Dragones Joven, followed by a dessert dish to properly round out and close the night’s dining.
Lead by chef Enrique Olvera who is also behind Mexico City’s restaurant Pujol (ranked #5 by The Best Restaurants in Mexico 2016), Cosme has set the pace for the evolution of Mexican-inspired cuisine in New York City. While the bold menu offers a contemporary take on many classic Mexican dishes, each meal is indisputably anchored to the core of traditional Mexican cooking techniques. After just two short years, Cosme has achieved exceptional notoriety throughout the culinary world both as a restaurant, and as a team of individual chefs.
