Edible Schoolyard’s 9th Annual Harvest Dinner
Casa Dragones had the privilege of spending another year with Edible Schoolyard for its 9th Annual Harvest Dinner on Tuesday Sept. 25. Lela Rose, fashion designer and ESYNYC board member, hosted the event in her Tribeca apartment. The Edible Schoolyard Project strives to provide widespread access to fresh food, and the $12,000 raised will go toward development of sustainable urban gardening in New York City.
Guests, including culinary expert Christine Muhlke and fashion insider Carolyn Murphy, savored Casa Dragones cocktails crafted and served by NoMad beverage team during cocktail hour. The fragrant Paloma combined Casa Dragones Blanco with fresh grapefruit, lime, and agave, plus a splash of sparkling water. In contrast, the Fig & Thistle mixed Blanco with fig, lemon, and Cardamaro (the “thistle” part). Following cocktails, the 50 guests were regaled with a five-course, wine-paired dinner by Michelin-starred chef Daniel Humm and his Eleven Madison Park team. The event also featured a live auction of world-class culinary experiences. We’re glad to have come another year!
