Frieze Art Fair 2018
New York City was ablaze with groundbreaking contemporary art during Frieze Art Fair, and Tequila Casa Dragones was there to help celebrate at the biggest events of the week.
Galleries White Cube and Bortolami celebrated rising sculptor Virginia Overton, who opened a solo show of specially-commissioned pieces titled “Built” at Socrates Sculpture Park in Long Island City, New York. At her studio, they enjoyed a sumptuous Casa Dragones Joven tequila food pairing of Braised Wedge Oak Farm Lamb with lemon and oregano, chickpeas with rosemary and olive oil and roasted beets with mint and yogurt.
Tequila Casa Dragones was proud to be a part of Art21’s first gala, marking the 21st anniversary of its founding. Guests toasted to the evening with Casa Dragones Joven, and enjoyed an incredible television cake created by Mexican artist Pedro Reyes to commemorate the milestone, which was also served with Casa Dragones Joven.
The Annual Friends of Artists Space dinner, an overwhelming favorite among the New York art crowd, was held at effortlessly cool and elegant The Bowery Hotel. Guests were welcomed with a glass of Casa Dragones Blanco on the rocks with a twist, and were followed with a casual dinner and several musical performances throughout the night.
Kurimanzutto opened its New York gallery in conjunction with Frieze Art Fair week and featured the talented Abraham Cruz Villegas’ “Autoconstrucción”–an installation of pleasantly ramshackle structures built up from sundry items. Guests were treated to bites by the James Beard award-winning Chef Daniela Soto-Innes, paired with Casa Dragones Joven, as well as a new signature Casa Dragones Blanco cocktail.
And for the 4th year, Tequila Casa Dragones was glad to be a part of the official Frieze Art Fair closing party, which this year took place at the opulent penthouse lounge The Top of the Standard (“The Boom Boom Room”) in New York.
