Pairing Dinner with King and Afterparty
For the ultimate Día de Muertos celebration in San Miguel de Allende, Casa Dragones invited New York chefs Clare de Boer, Jess Shadbolt, and Annie Shi-McGregor (of the Tribeca restaurant King) to La Casa Dragones to host a special Pairing Table Dinner on Friday, Nov. 2. Their six-course menu—made entirely of locally sourced ingredients and paired with Casa Dragones Joven—included socca with rosemary and anchovies, followed by finochietta. Next came crudo of flounder and risotto verde, with bistecca fiorentina as the main course, and a tamarind granita for dessert.
Afterwards, the house’s courtyard transformed into an all-out cocktail party, featuring live music by The Mexican Standoff, DJ Itai, and DJ Alonso Rivera. Luis Franklin Hernandez from KOMA served as our bardenter-in-resident and served up two special cocktails he crafted especially for Casa Dragones’s Día de Muertos celebrations, La Catrina and the Margarita Recreo. We’re so honored to have had such wonderful collaborators join us in this oustanding celebration of Día de Muertos, honoring history and life. Thank you and we look forward to next year!
